unctional sensibility assessment is essential
for evaluating the sensory recovery of repaired nerves.
It is often assumed that perception
of touch, perception of pin prick, or two-point discrimination correlates with functional recovery.
However, our clinical impression is that often the
results of these tests do not correlate well with
functional sensibility.
It was this observation that
stimulated Dellon to investigate alternative testing
