client authentication is used to check the identity of the
requestor and authorise access to the timestamp service.
All timestamp requests and responses are stored in the
tamper-evident server transaction logs.
These logs
provide all the required information for commercial
accounting purposes and to meet any legislative or
regulatory requirements for timestamp preservation as
well as providing effective evidence for normal dispute
resolution processes.
