This rule had to be put in place as even when playing online, you don t know when the phone
will ring or someone will arrive at the door, taking you out of the game for a certain period of
time.
Through this the missed blind rule does play an important part in online poker as well.
In real life games you can expect players to need to leave the tables for a while, return and
continue playing.
In both scenarios, the players chips are left on the table until their return.
When they return to the table they can place a small or big blind and continue with the game.
The missed blind rule had to be taken one step further though, enabling players to only leave
