The internet is full of teachers, preachers and pundits who purport to teach the truth, all with conviction and enthusiasm. How do you know what is true? First century Ephesus was also crazy place—a cosmopolitan center of commerce, conversation and competing philosophies. The church in Ephesus was built around the aging apostle John, the “disciple whom Jesus loved.” But it is clear from his writings that there were many other teachers as well, with differing viewpoints and teachings.
