CrossFit components are mixed in numerous combinations to create prescribed CrossFit WODs or "Workouts of the Day". Hour-long classes at affiliated gyms, or "boxes" typically include a warm-up, development section, the actual high-intensity CrossFit WODs, as well as a period of individual or perhaps group stretching. Performance on each of the CrossFit WODs is scored to encourage competition and to track individual progress. Some affiliates offer additional courses, for example Olympic weight training, which are not structured around CrossFit WODs.
