What is a Strain?
A strain is tearing or stretching of a muscle or a tendon.
A tendon is a fibrous cord of tissue
that connects muscles to bones.
A strain occurs when people lift heavy objects or over stretch
their muscle.
Types of strains include back strain and tendonitis.
There are 3 strain grades: Grade I is mild
damage to the muscle fiber, in Grade II more fibers are damaged, but the muscle is not totally
ruptured.
Grade III is a total rupture of a muscle and often needs surgical repair.
