SUPPORT FUN
The Support Fund is made available by the Department of Employment &
Learning to provide financial help to students whose access to, or
continuation in Higher Education might be inhibited by financial
considerations.
The fund is a limited amount of money so we normally accept one
application per academic year; however if your circumstances change you
should make an appointment with the Student Funding Advisor to discuss
your situation.
Whilst we recognise that many students’ are experiencing
financial difficulties we are unable to help everyone who applies.
Government guidelines state that the Support Fund cannot be used to pay
tuition fees.
There is no automatic entitlement to an award for any student and awards
paid in previous academic years are not an indication of awards paid this
year.
Awards are subject to money being available in the fund, the
evidence submitted with your application and the individual situation of
each applicant.
