In the last 169 years, the Philippines
continuously celebrates National Heroes
Day every last Sunday of August.
This
particular day aims to commemorate
the contributions of other Filipino heroes
(alongside Rizal and Bonifacio) to the
country.
In this issue of the Sunbeam, most, if not all, of the articles
speak of donors, sponsors, and friends (old and new) visiting
the foundation to extend help to Virlanie children.
The connection between “heroes” and our donors, sponsors
and friends is a curious one.
