Auburn equestrian team made its debut
in 1996 as a club sport within the Department
of Animal Sciences, which is in the College of
Agriculture, and became Auburn’s 21st varsity
sport for the 2002-2003 season.
Since the teams
first season they have won the 2011 and 2006
overall National Championships, the 2011 and
2008 Hunt Seat National Championships and
the 2011, 2010, and 2004 SEC Championships.
The team currently has 40 members; 17 that ride
Hunt Seat and 23 that ride Western.
The team
also currently hosts several camps and clinics
during the spring and summer months that
include an equestrian camp, a college prep clinic,
an elite camp, a select 20 camp and a youth camp.
