I find that writing about women is
easiest, because I could easily put
myself in their shoes.
You’re right
about my stories being about
women trying to find out their
identities.
Throughout my life I also
tried to find out my identity.

Most of your stories were written
about women s struggle, does that
have anything to do with your life?
Kate Chopin:
Well people had asked me before
about story of an hour.
They know
how my husband had died in my
life.
And they wonder if it reflects in
anyway with my character Louise
Mallard.
In which thought of her
husband dying and was filled joy,
was I filled with joy about my
husband really dying.
But to answer
your question my intentions was to
make a story interesting and that’s
was what’s on the mind.
