For those of you with a passion for DC comics, V For Vendetta will be a
familiar name.
The character in the Guy Fawkes mask has become something
of a phenomenon in the past year.
The Guy Fawkes mask depicts the best-known member of the Gunpowder
Plot who attempted to blow up London’s Palace of Westminster in 1605.
Although they were unsuccessful, Fawkes has remained infamous due to the
yearly festival in the UK, where an effigy of Guy Fawkes is burnt on fires
across the nation.
In recent times, the Guy Fawkes mask has become a symbol of
international resistance worn by groups protesting against corrupt politicians,
banks and financial institutions.
Many people are now purchasing the mask to show their opinions while
being anonymous; but also for fun at parties, comic-con and parades.
