A typical scope of work for a lux survey will include the following tasks:
1.
Daytime drive-by survey (identification of start/end points, RP signs, notes
about installation geometry, condition, type of lighting asset)
2.
Night time survey (collection of raw data)
3.
Desktop post processing (transfer of raw data into various
formats and generation of assessment parameters).
4.
Report, three levels of reporting are offered:
a.
Basic report
• Excel spreadsheets with raw data containing basic graph and
GPS vs.
lux columns (refer to Pic 1and Pic 2).
This may be formatted by
software specialists and data incorporated in Client’s GIS
application.
• Summary from daytime drive-by survey.
b.
Intermediate report
• Basic report
• Results of desktop post processing (generation of road
category “target” lighting levels, identification on noncompliance sections and applying rating scale of 1-6 (refer to
Pic 3 and Pic 4)
• Supply of GPS surve
