VSI’s mission is to promote peace, social justice, sustainable development and intercultural understanding through volunteering in Ireland and internationally. VSI has been involved in many different forms of voluntary work since it was founded in 1965 including local community work, short-term international volunteer projects and medium and long-term volunteering both in Ireland and in many other countries around the world.
