Port Elizabeth waveski ace Sandra Pienaar has won the SA Ladies Waveski title for an unprecedented 7th time. The reigning World Champion mastered massive surf conditions at Jongensfontein and Stilbaai recently to annexthetitle. The ladies surfed two rounds with the average score determining the winner. Shannon Copeland, a young up and coming waveskier from Border was second. She has come on in leaps and bounds in the past year, and evergracious in victory Pienaar views her as aworldchampioninthemaking. The final was held in very big conditions at Jongensfontein and Pienaar got knocked off her waveski by a freak wave. After reaching her board and taking a few poundings, she managed to surf two smaller waves.
