Social problems of poverty, health, education and gender issues are still present in developed countries as well as in developing countries (though to differing degrees) as are all the other issues coveredbytheSDGs.TheapplicabilityoftheSDGsstresses the need to continue to confront all of these issues comprehensively in all countries. The 17 Sustainable development goals, with 169 targets, will include targets ranging from ending poverty and hunger to reducing inequality both within and between countries; from better governance and peaceful societies to action on climate change, ecosystem restoration, and a big shift towardssustainableconsumptionandproduction.
