The Sun Shines Bright
The members of the Class of 2011 received their diplomas
on a glorious morning in the dappled sunlight and shade
of the venerable trees of Scarlet Gate.
The past and present
comingled seamlessly as graduates processed across the beloved
front yard and grounds of Kentucky author James Lane Allen’s
boyhood home.
Horse and buggy gave way to golf cart to transport family and friends.
Hoop skirts and high button shoes gave
way to scoop neck white dresses and three-inch wedge shoes, the
latest in 21st century fashion.
With the 1795 house as a backdrop, Head of School Chuck
Baldecchi welcomed all to the first commencement exercises on
the grounds of Scarlet Gate.
