In this set of whistleblower leaked records, Monterey family law attorney Debra Vaniman Crawford allegedly violates her fiduciary duty and other ethical standards to her divorce client Julie Law-Annis.
After being paid to represent Julie Law-Annis in her divorce, attorney Debra Crawford withdrew from the case and ran off with Law-Annis' soon-to-be-ex-husband, Dr. Jonathan Annis. Crawford and Annis subsequently were married, according to court records and the court reporter transcript posted with this set of documents. The State Bar of California has never held Crawford accountable for her alleged breach of fiduciary duty and moral turpitude.
Also included in this document set is the 2016 decision of the Medical Board of California revoking the medical license of Jonathan Annis MD. The revocation was stayed and Annis was placed on five years probation.
