About the durability, we've had not problems at all. These bodum glasses have held up nicely for a few months now and are used about every day. At first we were very careful with them but now we treat them like any other mug and they're still 100% intact with no cracks or blemishes. Maybe the early ones were weak, but these seem very durable. These boudm glasses have even made it into the dishwasher a couple of times by accident and it wasn't an issue. Less
