Unlike all other work visas issued by the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore, the Personalized
Employment pass is an independent visa.
This means that it is not tied-up to any companies in
Singapore.
This means too that the visa can be applied by the individual applicant than by the company.
Among the advantages of a Personalized Employment pass is the length of period of being unemployed
in Singapore.
With PEP, its abbreviation, the holder has 6 full months of seeking for and or assessing
employment opportunities in Singapore.
And because it is not exclusive for one particular company, PEP
holders can change employment anytime without the inconvenience of revoking the visa and applying for
a new one.
