Introduction
Thrips are known to be serious pests on a wide
range of fruit, vegetable, flower, and agronomic
crops.
Thrips are members of the order
Thysanoptera, which contains a number of genera and species.
For example, there are at least
two species of thrips that attack onions: onion
thrips (Thrips tabaci) and western flower thrips
(Frankliniella occidentalis).
