INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN SMART CITY HOSPITALITY/SCITHOS We would like to invite you to partner with an EU-funded (ERA-NET) project proposal (SmartCityHospitality/SCITHOS) that focuses on creating sustainable urban tourism (both leisure and business) through ‘Smart City Hospitality’. The € 1.2 million project is scheduled to run from January 2016 to December 2018. It aims at increasing eco-efficiency and limit the carbon footprint of cities, while at the same time enhancing liveability and social cohesion. This is done through the development and implementation of SMART tools and serious gaming techniques to help destination management and make urban tourism more sustainable. Smart City Hospitality deliberately seeks to create solutions that benefit not only tourists but also ‘the city’, citizens and industry.
