SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2010-2011
Amount of Award: $300.
00 ( three hundred dollars) to be used for the purchase of tools and/ or other
employment related items or for the payment of tuition and/ or other education related items
Eligibility: A high school senior currently enrolled in a construction/building trades cluster class in which
a teacher is a member of the MCTA.
One-year (minimum) participation in that construction/building
trades cluster/class is required.
Depending on scholarship category applying for, minimum grade point
average in selected classes and school years may also be required.
SCHOLARSHIP CATEGORIES: I) Higher Achiever -A student who has shown outstanding improvement in
a construction class.
(No grade point average minimum required).
2) Student Entering Trades -An outstanding student who plans on getting a job in the construction field
upon completion of high school.
(Minimum grade point 3.
0 (B) in construction class (es) required).
