Writing Samples Table of Contents 1) Donation Request Letter: This was an assignment from Writing for Public Relations. We were instructed to write a letter to a prominent community member to ask for a donation for a hypothetical charity event. 2) Thank You Letter: This was a follow-up assignment to the Donation Request Letter. We wrote back to the community member, personally thanking him/her for the donation. 3) Letter to the Editor: In the final part of the assignment, I wrote a letter to the editor of a local newspaper. In the letter, I thanked members of the community who helped with the event.
