It seems only fair that males and females should have the same
opportunities, but this is often not the case.
Females are
discriminated against in many areas of life – in education, at work, in
the home – and this takes place in Britain, Europe and America as well
as in the Developing countries.

primary school, they
get better exam
results at secondary
school and they
achieve better degrees
than boys.
They are
patently as intelligent, if not more intelligent, than boys yet only 2% of
top company .
directors are women and only 20% of MPs are female.
In America, only 3% of senior managers at the top 1000 companies are
not white males and only 22% of American senators are female.
(Globally, it is 13%)
In every country on earth, women are paid less for doing the same
work as men.
In the U.
S.
, women earn only 74 cents to the $1.
00 paid
to men for the same job.
