When is mother’s day? echoed
from the large twin speakers set neatly on each side of the
grand-stand.
Almost all tiny hands
rose up, some calling out the date,
some simply cheering to get the attention of MC Ajesh Prasad or ‘AJ’
as he is known among the Sanatan
fraternity.
The answer AJ was looking for was “ everyday was mother’s
day, and this was worth a prize.
AJ’s
dialect tone was strikingly similar
to that of soccer commentator Raymond Stodart, and with soccer being
played on the adjacent ground made
the setting more like a combination
of BOG and Sugar Festival held together.
