This year, the Sisters of Mercy West Midwest
Community rejoices with the 69 Sisters who celebrate
milestones as women religious.
Our 2012 Sister jubilarians were recognized at celebrations
held during Spring Community meetings across the West
Midwest geography.
To contribute to their celebrations,
they were invited to share reflections on their lives.
Over the next three issues of Living Mercy, we will highlight
our 2012 jubilarians.
We will share with you the words they
wrote about how their Mercy spirituality has grown during
these years.
How they have used their talents, education
and love of God to witness to the Gospel and the Charism
of Mercy through their many years of devoted ministry.
The
sisters’ reflections speak of receiving God’s call in a variety of
ways: as a deep spiritual urging, a desire to imitate those
Sisters they knew and admired, or simply a curiosity about
