March 9, 2023 Leadership message Lent is a time for transformation—to turn around, to change. During a recent in-person ILT-IM meeting, held in Belmont, North Carolina, in late February, we contemplated the words of one of our sisters, Marie Chin. She shared, “Transformation and God's reign will come when we have the courage and stillness of heart to keep vigil and submerge ourselves collectively in the pain of the world—there to find God's passion and to be filled with the power of God, the power of our common bonding, on common ground. God's spirit is searching to hallow our souls into our own essential vocation.” (From Recasting Fire) As we continue our Lenten journey and our way to the 2023 Chapter, what ways of thinking or doing things do we let go of to make room for God’s Spirit to hallow our souls?
