September 29, 2022 Leadership message “If we learn how to listen, we can hear in the voice of creation a kind of dissonance. On the one hand, we can hear a sweet song in praise of our beloved Creator; on the other, an anguished plea, lamenting our mistreatment of this our common home.” (Pope Francis) October 4 will officially end the Season of Creation 2022. As we continuously renew our commitment to the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy, there is no end to a season of creation. Our call to work for the common good is a call to work for the dignity of life in all forms. Confronted with the anguish of the people of our world and the land we inhabit, let us rally to the challenge to hear the “sweet song of our beloved creator” as we strive to bring Mercy to our world.
