July 31, 2025 Leadership message The interdependence of peoples and Christ’s mandate to proclaim the gospel to all nations challenge us to develop a global perspective on the works of mercy … Constitutions, paragraph 3 Recently, one of my Conversation Circles took the opportunity to “dust off” our revised Constitutions, which we received on December 12, 2024. We expressed gratitude for all who worked so diligently and prayerfully (before and after 1991) in reimagining our community as one integrated Institute. We marveled at the appropriateness of the words chosen to allow for our ever-evolving reality as the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Reviewing our Constitutions is an opportunity to appreciate the unfolding of the new relationships we discovered among us in 1991.
