If the ECS Ejector-Automatic Air Vent allows water into the water collection chamber, the isolation
ball valve shall be closed and remain closed until replacement parts are installed.
General Description
The ECS Ejector -AutomaticAir Vent (EAAV) provides automatic venting
of trapped air in wet pipe fire sprinkler systems.
As a fire sprinkler system
is filled with water, trapped air migrates to the high point of the system
where the air vent valve is designed to be located.
This allows for the
trapped air to be released through the open vent.
The air vent valve will
automatically close when water reaches the vent.
The ECS Ejector Automatic Air Vent (EAAV) must be installed as shown on the
engineering design documents, if a location is not shown install the ECS
