Granny’s Attic Cupola

The Granny’s Attic Cupola was successfully removed, and the ceiling sealed, this week.
The cupola had previously been deemed unsafe due to rotted supports for the structure.
The cupola was
scheduled for removal the week of July 6, however, the heat wave made that impossible.
Barclay Morris did
start on the removal process last week with the culmination of efforts resulting in the cupola being lowered
by crane on the morning of Friday, July 16.
Now that the cupola has been removed, it will await restoration.
Restoration will depend on fund raising
efforts—the first of which will be a BBQ and Band event at the Blue Paddle Bistro in South Hero.
The BBQ will
feature good dancing music by BorealTordu and will be held on Sunday, July 25 from 3 to 4:30 pm at the Bistro.
