Palaeographia critica, pars tertia: De difficvltate interpretandi, volumen primum. Author: Ulrich Friedrich Kopp (Cassel [now Kassel], 18 March 1762 – 27 March 1834, Marburg) || Publication Data: Mannheim, 1829 || Note: This copy was donated to the University of Toronto by Joseph Baer & Co., the bookseller and publisher the offices of which were at 6 Hochstrasse, Frankfurt-am-Main, to replace what was lost in the conflagration at University College on 14 February 1890. After Joseph Baer, in 1785, moved from Bockenheim to Frankfurt-am-Main, he operated a bookshop in the Dominicanercloster. After his death in 1841, the enterprise was continued by his sons, Leopold Joseph Baer (1804 – 1861) and Hermann Joseph Baer (1811 – 1881). An account of the family Baer can be read in Fritz Homeyer, Deutsche Juden als Bibliophilen und Antiquare (Tübingen: 1963) and in Andrea Hopp, Jüdisches Bürgertum in Frankfurt-am-Main im 19. Jahrhundert (Stuttgart: 1997). || For best viewing, download PDF.
