DECEMBER 2020, ISSUE 60 FREE GIVING BACK SELFLESS BELINDA COVID SURVIVOR GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND A Hemel resident is encouraging those with coronavirus antibodies to donate plasma to help treat coronavirus patients. Belinda Sampat, 63, regularly donates plasma at the Luton Blood Donor Centre as she has retained high levels of antibodies after suffering badly with COVID-19 abroad in St Lucia in March. She wants to turn her negative experience around and help others with her donations. Belinda, of Warners End, told HEMELnews: “I had a terrible experience with COVID-19. I was the first case in St Lucia so I was put into a makeshift hospital and was the only person there.
