DANIEL BALAVOINE Daniel Balavoine is a French singer-songwriter and musician, born on 5th February 1952 in Alençon (Orne) and died on 14th January 1986 near Gourma-Rharous (Mali). He enjoyed success in 1978 and 1979 with his song Le Chanteur and his role as Johnny Rockfort in the Starmania opera by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon. He had a great career despite his premature death. . He was one of the greatest singers of his generation. But on 14th January 1986, Daniel Balavoine died in a helicopter accident while travelling to Paris-Dakar, in Mali. The music : Less
