Hearst Hearst UK has a total of 23 brands including ELLE, Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping. Their print and digital brands manage to reach 1 in 3 women in the UK every month and 1 in 4 men as well. They are able to sell over 4 million copies of their magazines a month as well as having around 17 million unique digital users. They have reached over 22 million followers through social media such as Instagram and especially the new feature called “Snapchat Discover”. The company I am making my magazine for is Hearst magazine who are a large, mainstream conglomerate who have been publishing magazines since the 4th of March 1887. Hearst also own a few cable TV channels such as ESPN, HISTORY, Lifetime and A&E. They even have their own rewards programme called the Hearst Journalism Awards Programme which was founded in 1960 in order to support fellow young and inexperienced journalists who were just starting their life as a journalist.
