Harlaw Academy Newsletter – January 2015 Welcome: It is two years since I started as Head Teacher at Harlaw Academy. During this time the school has taken forward some very challenging work – not least of which has been the introduction of new National Qualifications. I have also involved staff, pupils and parents in school improvements three areas which have seen significant change as a result of this are: • our statement of ‘vision, values and behaviour’ • course choice and the way in which the curriculum is organised • the range, colours and styles of the school uniform I hope staff, pupils, parents and the wider community can all see examples of how your views and actions are making a positive impact on your school. New qualifications: Pupils in the senior school are all working on the new qualifications.
