People don’t often believe that they can change the world. However, according to Kellie Guthrie,
owner and founder of Re-Invention, everyone has the ability to make the world a better place.
After years of paving her way through the fashion industry, Kellie came face-to-face with the issue
of poverty, and she has made it her mission to be on the forefront of a solution.
Kellie sought out humanitarian organizations that provide employment-based solutions, called
social enterprises, for those who are bound by poverty. She founded Re-Invention in order to find
impoverished areas to create new opportunities for Social Enterprise.
Re-invention’s initiative to “re-invent where we live” is brought to life through G.E.A.R. (Go!
Everyone, Everywhere and Re-Invent). G.E.A.R. is a collection of handmade, re-invented,
recycled and re-purposed home accents, furnishings and other sustainable products.
“We are not only creating sustainable products,” says Kellie, “but sustainable lives.”
