In British schools when studying the SWW there is a overwhelming focus on the British Home and Western Front and the experience of Dunkirk, the Blitz, the Battle of Britain and D Day. There is no doubt that this is a significant part of the SWW and it is well documented by the evidence, photographs, film, letters, newspaper reports to name just a few of the sources.
