What is a contract?
A contact is an agreement between both the employee
and employer and specifically states the employee’s rights,
responsibilities, employment conditions and duties.
These are known as the terms.
The contract needs to be
stuck by until the end date, unless the employee gives notice
that they’re leaving or they are dismissed.
The contract of employment is an integral document and
failure to have one could result in the employer receiving
a fine or another form of punishment.
A contract regulates
the terms and conditions of the employment between the
employer and employee.
Broken down, it explains what
the employee is required
to do and what they’re
entitled to receive.
It states
the company’s policies
and procedures as well as
the employee’s disciplinary
code.
Without a contract, it
would be hard to take action
against an employee who is
not behaving in the correct
manner and they would have
the right to claim that the rule
doesn’t exis
