17 Indian states to witness acute power shortage: CEA
Mumbai: Adding to the prevalent power crisis, about 17 Indian states are expected
to witness significant power supply shortages this fiscal, anticipates the Central
Electricity Authority (CEA).
Of the said states, Tamil Nadu is projected to receive
less than three-fourth of its total electricity demands, adds the official CEA data.
Additionally, the country southern region (involving four states and one union
territory) is expected to witness a power deficit of 19.

As per the said
CEA observations, the power deficit to be witnessed in Tamil Nadu will be around
