receiving numerous complaints from parents and
consumers.
AUBURN, ALA.
, Sept.
27, 2012/PRNewswire/ -- Play-Well Company is voluntarily conducting a recall
of Zoomers products.
There have been several reports that the vehicles’ electrical components have
malfunctioned and overheated both when cars are being ridden and when they are parked or stored in the
garage or home.
Vice President of Consumer Relations Michael Hayes says parents should disable the cars immediately
and not let their children use these vehicles until any repairs have been made.
Recently, Play-Well and the U.
S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have received
complaints from parents and consumers about Zoomers.
Play-Well is working closely with the CPSC to
ensure safety for consumers.
This recall does not include any products sold before November 2008.
All models with two batteries are
being recalled.
Certain one-battery models are defective as well.
