The Magic of Marble Festival serves as Sylacauga’s driving force toward artistic sophistication and
prowess.
The festival raises awareness each year for the city’s 32-mile stretch of pure, white marble.
Craigger Browne, along with Italian and local sculptors, visits each year to celebrate the natural
beauty just beneath Sylacauga.
In April, 2012, Browne revealed to the city his piece, Sylacauga
Emerging.
The 7-foot-6-inch statue, weighing around 11,000 pounds, sits proudly in front of City
