It is the statutory body of Indian
Government acting through the Parliament for its
co-ordination, maintenance and determination of its
standard with the Indian university education.
The
head office of UGC is in New Delhi’s Bahadur
Shah Zafar Marg with six regional centers at
Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Guwahati and
Bhopal.
