ADT Expands Customer Monitoring Service
The public-private partnership between ADT Corporation and
Knoxville government achieves its success as ADT expands its
Knox County Customer Monitoring Center.
To formally announce the expansion, ADT officials were joined
by Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, Knoxville Mayor
Madeline Rogero, and state and local government officials last
October 25 at ADT’s facility in the Pellissippi Corporate Center.
According to Doug Lawyer, Vice President of Economic
Development for the Chamber, the new job opportunities for
residents of Knoxville could have gone to Texas or other ADT business centers, but a joint effort
by state and local governments and the Knoxville Chamber’s economic development team makes
it possible for ADT to expand its Knoxville Customer Monitoring Center.
An incentive package
developed for ADT includes tax credits for job creation.
