Google has always waged a war on webmasters to keep junk websites from reaching number
one for keywords.
And it is easy to agree with doing that.
After all, nobody wants to find some
stupid penis pill when they were searching for aspirin.
I do totally get that.
But what has
happened over the years, is those webmasters who work to rank those crappy sites have gotten
smarter, making Googles job harder.
Then
Google reacts by creating special filters (called an algorithm) to penalize there websites rank.
But the more the spammy sites try, the more Google tries to stop them, and that’s where the
trouble starts.
Googles algorithm has now become so complex that penalizing good to medium
quality websites by mistake is inevitable.
Another problem, is that Google seems to be targeting certain niche subjects to apply filters to.
They see a trend of say, real estate sites that are bogus, so they apply their newest, best filters
to that niche.
