"Prayer" is a means to connect the physical with the metaphysical.
There are no general rules
inscribed to perform a prayer as different rights and rituals are prescribed in different religious
scriptures.
For some, it might mean joining hands before God, but for others it might be
synonymous to reading out religious hymns in a temple.
Ways to pray might vary but the
ultimate goal remains the same that is to get connected with divine, the omnipotent power which
can do things that are impossible to accomplish by any human effort.
There is an old saying
‘where human effort fails, prayer succeeds’ and that is when a person prays.
Various spiritual leaders have given advice on the best ways to pray, Mahatma Gandhi once said
that prayer is not asking.
It is a longing of the soul.
It is daily admission of one s weakness.
