Molehills Lorne REIMER A fter writing last week that Monday was a bad day for car accidents, a reader emailed me about the adverse effects that Daylight Savings Time has on overall safety. Granted, the three serious local accidents - including a fatality - occurred a week after the switch to daylight savings, but the stats do show lingering effects. Reader Debbie Beadle referred to a Manitoba study that showed a 20 per cent increase in collisions the day after the annual time change, compared to all other Mondays of the year.
