Christmas lights are a large part of the holiday atmosphere, and the new LED Christmas lights have
established themselves to be vastly superior to the old-style incandescent bulbs.
Unlike incandescent and fluorescent low energy lighting, LED lights, when used as coloured lights, don’t
require coloured filters.
This, in association with their very small size and low heat output, makes LEDs
great for Christmas lights.
If you’re still using incandescent Christmas lights, you should look at replacing them with LEDs.
Incandescent lights consume seven-to-ten times more power, burn out in the neighborhood of ten times
as fast and give off around twenty-five times as much heat as LEDs do.
