La Cartuja Baja-Zaragoza
La Cartuja is a Zaragoza rural district.
It used
to be a monastir founded by Alonso de
Villalpando and his wife, Jeronima Zaporta
in the XVII Century and the monks lived there
until 1830.
Now we can see the old buildings, the most
important, the church, has paintings made by
Bayeu, the brother in law and teacher of
Francisco de Goya, one of the our most
important painters
La Cartuja es un barrio rural de Zaragoza.
Desde el siglo XVII, en que fue fundada
por Alonso de Villalpando y su esposa,
Jerónima Zaporta; hasta 1830, fue un
monasterio habitado por la orden de los
Cartujos.
Ahora, se conservan antiguos edificios, el
más importante de los cuales ees la
iglesia, donde se conservan pinturas de
Bayeu, el cuñado y maestro de Goya
