PC Peter Booth, of Ecclesfield, is described by his
force as an officer who „works predominantly on
foot‟.
After more than 30 years on the beat, he has
taken on responsibility for all local schools (despite
not being an official schools officer), taking on a
pastoral role and having a positive effect on crime
and disorder over the years according to South
Yorkshire Police.
He has also taken a lead role in
tackling drugs, antisocial behaviour and underage
drinking.
Despite having completed his 30 years
service and worked on the same patch for 17 years,
